Know the difference between LCD, Plasma, HDTV, LED and OLED
There are many technologies that are used in display devices such as televisions. Each technology is characterized by a peculiarity of the display and has a particular form of the display. Several technologies are used in television sets:
LCD TV:
Hdtv
LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) TVs are thinner and lighter and offer very sharp images and brighter than CRTs of similar size. They are ideal for cell phone displays, computer monitors, and display photos. LCD TVs have a flat screen, so it isare no disturbances and no images on the screen "burned" as curved tube TVs. In general, LCD viewing angle is 175 degrees. The image can be seen from 87 degrees to the side. LCD TVs are very cheap to use and less than 35 screens are pretty cheap. LCD TVs are backlit and the light outside the block. So are suitable for natural light conditions. Most LCD TVs have a half-life (50% of original brightness) of 30,000 hours (16 years of viewing at 6 hours a day). LCD sizegenerally range 13-65, but some manufacturers offer up to 100 variables.
Plasma TV:
A plasma display panel (PDP) is a flat-screen television display used. They have better color reproduction and more accurate than the generation LCD display with wide viewing angle and without degradation at high angles of LCD compared to experience. Plasma screens are ideal for viewing moving video from the large display.
• Dimensions plasma usually in the range from 32 to 84, but someoffering screen sizes up to 100
• The plasma technology provides a brighter image pixels with more contrast between blacks and whites as a standard TV.
• In general, plasma TVs viewing angles of 160 to 180 degrees and the image can be viewed from any angle.
• In average, have (to look at 20 years 6 hours per day to 50,000 hours), plasma TV, a half-life (50% brightness) of 50,000 to 70,000 hours.
Some plasma televisions are equipped with upgradeable graphics cards made availablethat helps to match with future technologies.
HDTV:
HDTV or High Definition Television is a digital television transmission system offers a higher resolution than regular television systems. HDTV is broadcast digitally, in contrast to the first analogue transmission, because digital television (DTV) signals require low bandwidth because of digital video compression.
TV HDTV problem is not lack of quality standards such as sharpness, brightness and contrast problems, spots, other visual or audio imperfections, problems such as double images (ghosting) and weak signals. HDTV offers clearer images with excellent sound quality, a wider screen, and up-to-date scanning. HDTV is better and more regular channels, satellite or cable TV with home theater experience.
LED TV:
LED (Light Emitting Diode) TV is an LCD TV that uses LEDs for backlighting instead of fluorescent tubes (as occursblacks points). They are ideal for low-energy indicators used to replace traditional light sources for general lighting and illumination.
· LED TV currently costs more than a standard LCD or plasma TV.
· LED TV has a great look and is very easy to install.
°; corner illuminated LED TV consumes 30-40% less than LCD or plasma TV. But LED backlighting consume the most electricity.
Be · bright screen LED TV show bycompared to a standard LCD TV.
· TV is LED backlit with RGB LED local dimming, and have a better picture and contrast ratio and better color accuracy than conventional LCD TVs.
He has a long life and environmentally friendly.
OLED TV
OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), TV-dependent light-emitting polymer technology. Its properties, including,
• In OLED TVs are, there is no need for additional heaters or coolers, or backlighting, so there is lessElectricity consumption.
• For support of OLED materials capable of full spectrum of visible light is, it is a higher contrast and high-speed frame rate.
· The OLEDs are much faster than LCDs. Fast movements and rapid eye movements are more realistic images. OLED TV and make virtual images look realistic and can be easily viewed on the longer periods of time.
• It has wider viewing angles and eye for almost visualization applications, offering a pleasantwithout distortion.
One disadvantage with OLED TVs is the limited lifetime of organic materials used in their manufacture. In addition, the blue light deteriorated rapidly with a life of 14,000 hours (8 hours a day for five years) on flat screens.
Before buying a television, know the difference between the various technologies and the purchase of one, the desired functionality, and your budget.
